
Warner and Fowler (2003) examine Agnew’s General Strain Theory, and they examine its effects on a macro level. They are examining the relationship between neighborhood disadvantage and stability, and they look at how both neighborhood disadvantage and stability impact levels of strain in neighborhoods. The impact of informal social control and social support/capital on strain is also a topic of interest in this article.
